Course Description:
This course, aims to be an informal and practical introduction to oral histology Members of the dental profession. Fulfilled and accurate histological study of the cells that comprise the pulp tissues and their individual and collective functions. The clinical considerations will also be studied through this course This course will review the basic cellular composition of the pulp, , and histology and function too. The cellular composition as it relates to structure, physiology, oral health, and clinical significance will be discussed.
Learning Outcomes:
– Pulp, parts (coronal pulp-radicular pulp),apical foramen ,accessory root canal
– Content of pulp ,Cells of pulp ,zones of pulp tissue ,Progenitor cells of the pulp
– Formative cells of the pulp , Odontoblasts (Details) ,junctional complex,Fibroblast
– Fibroblast follow ,Fibrocyte ,Defense cells (macrophage )
– Plasma cell in the pulp , eosinophils ,Mast cell , ground substance ,blood supply
– Pericytes ,Nerve supply , plexus of Rashkow ,Function of pulp
– Functions of pulp follow , age changes of the pulp (calcification- denticles- pulp stones)
– Clinical consideration of pulp
